Lines: 35 A little while ago I saw a question posted to the nets about using Rodime drives with A/UX. Since I had just finished working with several Rodimes (100 & 140MB) and had run into some of the problems that the original poster ran into I replied via mail. Well, I have just spoken with the engineers at Rodime again and they told me that they have a fix for the Cobra drives. In order to obtain the fix, contact Rodime @ 407/994-5585 and tell them that you need to obtain the "A/UX Tune-Up" program for the Cobra series drives. I believe that the AppleLink address is D1734 (not being on AppleLink, I dont know if this address makes sense or not B-). If you call, you may have to get through to engineering before anyone will know what you are talking about, but they have come up with a fix. If you are having problems with the rodimes standard 3.5" drives (as far as using them with A/UX) I would be interested in hearing from you. There appears to be a minor problem with these drives but rodime is working on it also. BTW, I would like to say that I have been impressed with the response that I have received from the Engineers @ Rodime. They have been honest and efficient in dealing with the problems that I have encounted. #include _________________________________________________________________________ Randy Thompson uunet!smsdpg!rht SMS Data Products Group, Inc. - or - 703/648-9400 rht@smsdpg.UUCP _________________________________________________________________________
