Hence I ftped a recently upgraded hosts file and put in the etc subdir of my home dir. Now my question is how do I get the mail and other deamons to read the internet addresses from my hosts file, etc/hosts and not the /etc/hosts file. I have added the path of my etc dir in my .login, but I still am unable to get mail to read of my hosts file. What am I doing wrong, or is it impossible to get mail to do that. I am using csh. Please send e-mail to the addresses given below:- ccastgn@pyr.gatech.edu or ccastgn@prism.gatech.edu Thanks.
