I know that beep() does the trick in SysV curses, but the "obvious" things I tried for BSD (sticking a bell in the current window, or writing a bell character to stderr) seem to cause problems. Is there an answer? Thanks. ------ Greg Lindahl gl8f@virginia.edu I'm not the NRA.
