Hello,
      Could someone please help me with this *ROFF question:

( NO flames please I am just now trying to learn roff using AT&Ts 
  Documenters Workbench User + Reference Guides )

 Situation:
           I need to be able to print barcodes ( on an Imagen-10 Laser Printer)
with *ROFF after reading the manual over and over there seems to be a utility
called makedev to make fonts and it is only available with the source version
of ROFF.  < which I do not have >

            I need to be able to print barcoded text, (based on user entry
which could be variable in length ) and fill in "boilerplate" text around it
etc...   
 Could someone please mail me any solutions to do this . -OR-
          If someone has a public domain program to create fonts for *ROFF,
or barcode fonts available, or can think of a good way to do this please 
mail me an answer.
