The problem is that NeWS does not have preemptive scheduling.  This is
a major mod which has not been implemented to date, including in the
X11/NeWS server.

At my usenix NeWS tuturial, Owen Densmore commented that anyone who
was interseted in writing one for NeWS should come talk to him after
class... ;-)
