As is my custom with any new list or gateway I configure, I added myself to the mailing list so I might catch any bounces or loops or whatever. Then, on Tuesday evening, I left town for the rest of the week, headed for a non-computer conference at a non-net-connected college near Chicago. I returned to 63 articles in both the newsgroup and my personal mailbox (besides the other usual pile of mail), several list bounce-o-grams regarding unreachable hosts and the like, and three list addition requests that had been waiting for several days. Erf... now I know why I prefer news to mailing lists :-(
