Perhaps it is because your news program is well-behaved and only allows you
to have a signature with four lines, unlike the other news programs out there
with let you have a signature with more than four lines.

Of course, you can always read in your .signature file (or whatever) into your
editor and work around that, but the convenience (Well!  Isn't that just
conveeeeeeeeeeeeeenient!  --Church Lady) is nice.
