I've got a file called .signature, spelled out in entirety, of course, in my root directory. When I reply privately (email) to postings, rn "asks me" if I want to append the signature. If I answer yes, it's appended, no problem. But when I post publicly (I get the message that the signature has been left off because it must be readable by the "inews owner." The protection ("mode") of the .signature file and my root directory are both set so that the world can read them. What's going on? Has anyone seen this problem before? Steve
