Sorry if I'm being repetitive, but maybe I've been replying on
this topic rather than posting -- the GNU egrep works correctly
and seems to be a complete drop-in replacement on the 3b1/7300.
Beats the heck out of hacking up checkgroups, c news, etc.  If
there's *really* a demand out there, I'll uuencode the binary
and post to unix-pc.sources.
