A while ago there was some discussion about drilling VHS tape to allow them
to perform S-VHS functions.  Being a proud new owner of a S-VHS VCR, I wonder
if someone could post or mail me the procedure.  Beside the price difference,
I have problems *finding* S-VHS tape in my small town.  

Also, what does anyone think about the future of LD vidio (laser disc).
I ask because my parents (foolishly?) bought a Sony CD-CDV-LD player and
I wondered if there is any future in LD.  

I must add that I did see a movie they had, and with the 425 scan line    
resolution and digital color it was *impressive*.
