As far as I'm concerned taxes are levied to provide benefits: roads, health care, welfare for those unwilling or unable to take care of themselves. If you are confident that you will ALWAYS be able to take care of yourself, then why not go? Just hope you don't have a heart attack - no nice OHIP to cover all the costs for you. And do you feel happy living in a country where you know many people live in desperate poverty? They say that to judge a society you should look at how it treats its weakest members - does it let them go under or take care of them? I know what the US does and I know what I want my country to do. Gordon
