This seems a little contradictory. I would guess that a good part of that $50 million is going towards producing and broadcasting matieral for two very good commercial free national radio networks. Without federal funding shows like the Air Farce (and the Frantics, As it Happens, Morning Side and Ideas) would never see the ether. TV may be a different story; but as I don't watch it, I won't comment.
