We run Sql*net on an IBM Model 70 386, and run it remotely via VTAM into an IBM 3090 which is running Oracle. We run it in DFT Mode. The problem is that even the smallest data request takes about 45 seconds to satisfy. When we change over to a local DFT connection, requests come back in 5 seconds. Does anyone know why this is so? Could there be a problem in our VTAM setup? I'd appreciate any input, as this is screwing up a project at the moment. Dewey Paciaffi
