I've occasionally seen some map projection software running at trade
shows and exhibitions.  I think it originates from NCAR.  Does anyone
know if this is in the public domain and, if so, from where it can
be obtained?  (It's to run on Sun or VAXstation.)

Failing that, is there a 3-D representation of the continents on the
Earth, so that I can test out my own software?
