I am one of the fortunate people who had an expense account at SIGGRAPH.
I also had a huge room with two beds at the Hilton, which had I 
realized... I would have offered to share with a student. It was a very 
expensive conference! Worth every penny, but expensive! I was amazed at 
the number of people who were there on their own, and paying their own 
way. 
Perhaps there is some way of pairing up students with people in the 
business. A difficult task, but one that would be worth it for all 
concerned. Traveling by yourself can be a drag somtimes too!

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
