Keywords: reload QMS 810 HP LJ II LaserWriter II NT(X) Message-ID: <8908111543.AA10398@brillig.umd.edu> Date: 4 Aug 89 20:30:47 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: Convergent Technologies, San Jose, CA Lines: 18 Approved: laser-lovers@brillig.umd.edu I have a QMS 810 PS printer, based on a Canon Series II engine. If you have a LJ II or LaserWriter II NT or NTX, your printer uses the same cartridge. My cartridge is getting to the end of its useful life. I can buy a new cartridge for about $90 discounted, or a refill for about half that. However, I have heard that Canon sabotages the Series II cartridges with abrasive filings (?) so that it is not safe to use a reloaded catridge. Can anyone on the net comment? Can you recommend suppliers, or warn about bad experiences? Has anyone on the net used successfully a do-it-yourself reload? Would you do it again? Phil Burton Convergent 408 435 3791
