One example: abc aaaaaaaa!bbbbbbbb!%s def aaaaaaaa!bbbbbbbb!%s does result in NOT expanding "abc!user" and abc aaaaaaaa!bbbbbbbb!%s def aaaaaaaa!bbbbbbbb!%s ghj aaaaaaaa!bbbbbbbb!%s does result in expanding "abc!user" to "aaa....!user".
