Lines: 23 Can someone suggest a good book on the legal issues concerning software development. I am primarily interested in the areas of ownership and copyright. What is confusing me is if I am hired as a consultant to develop program X for a company ABC, what are ABC's legal right to the program/sources? Does ABC have the right to reuse the program on any number of machines? Can ABC sell the program or give away sources? As a releated issue, can anyone suggest a reference on how much a contract developer usually charges a client to develop a commercial package (in terms of hourly rate and royalty). And one last question, what does the term "Data Rights" imply. thanks -- Glenn L. Swonk CCI Computers (714)458-7282 9801 Muirlands Boulevard Irvine, CA 92718 uunet!ccicpg!swonk
