Computer Science Lines: 19 We are trying to create a setup in which simple menus from some or another computer can be overlayed on a high-quality real-time video RGB signal (European) and displayed on a TV set (menu on top of video image). We were thinking of using a workstation (we have SUNs and HPs) or a PC. However, we were informed that this overlay is not all that easy, and that little off-the-shelft material is available. All we found out so far is that there are GENLOCK cards for the AMIGA that would make this feasible. Does anybody have experience with overlaying text onto video? What is commercially available (for workstations, PCs, or something else)? We would be very grateful for any help. Please send responses by mail to btmcrc@kulcs.
