After temacs is built and the DOC files has been written, temacs is called with inc-vers.el to change version.el in the lisp directory. Opening input file: no such file or directory, /../lisp/version.el Some experimentation shows that temacs is appending a slash to the front of every path, thus the /../lisp... instead of ../lisp...
