There was a lot of discussion on the bboard about Iowa's
turret explosion, but I didn't notice anyone commenting
that the guns are back in action.  According to the Navy
Times that crawled across my desk today, Iowa fired
her 16" guns in a live fire exercise 4 August somewhere
in the Med (enroute Lebanon area where she might have
to use them).  The article commented that turret #2 was
not fired because the damage had not been repaired.
