ANU NEWS is news reading software for VAX machines and it has been
discussed in this forum a few months ago. Since more people are
installing news reader programmes at their computer centers I thought
it might be of some interest to tell the bio-computing community that
there is a news reader available for IBM called NETNEWS. There is also
a discussion group called NETNWS-L@NDSUVM1 devoted to discussions about
this software. Check it out.

There are two versions of Netnews for VM, one from PSUVM and one from PUCC.
The PSUVM version is still in beta test and is available from LISTSERV
with:  TELL LISTSERV AT PSUVM GET NETNEWS PACKAGE.
