In the July 89 issue of Scientific American, there's a neural network 
article by Daniel L. Alkon. In it he mentions a type of network closer in
structure to a biological one: DYSTAL (DYnamically STable Associative
Learning).

Has anything been published yet on this? (I couldn't find any references.)
