It would allow room for > vector based images like maps and fonts. > >I believe that such a group would be quite useful. useful yes, but HUGE consider that some of the MIGs(multi-image GIF) I get are 500K or MORE each (640*480*256*6 images). you then have an incredible amount of traffic for a pretty limited group. aside from the cost of moving such large amounts of stuff around imagine the storage space an archive type site would need. we are looking at 3 or 4 images per meg. a mailing list type setup would most likely be a better sarting point. --- msged 1.99L MSC * Origin: The B.I.B.S.
