Hi folks,

A marketing person that I work with asked for references to 
books that explain databases (main interest is in relational)
in *some* technical detail, but nothing "too deep". He has
some technical background, but isn't interested in becoming
a theorist or even an application developer -- he just wants
to get some insight into the use, good points, and difficulties
of using DBMSs.

I couldn't think of any such books -- can anyone help me here?
