Texas CS Dept., Austin, Texas Lines: 16 A couple of years ago someone in our graphics group here got a chunk of software and data that originally came from DEC. The stuff was for a file format called OFF that described 3D faceted objects. Does anybody know where to get a recent release of OFF? Does DEC claim any rights to this format? [And speaking of which, does Pixar claim to own the RenderMan _interface_? That is, does Pixar think it is benevolently giving free licenses to an interface that it might one day charge for?] Please reply by mail, and I'll summarize. -- -- Kelvin Thompson, Lone Rider of the Apocalypse kelvin@cs.utexas.edu {...,uunet}!cs.utexas.edu!kelvin
