A couple of years ago someone in our graphics group here got a chunk
of software and data that originally came from DEC.  The stuff was
for a file format called OFF that described 3D faceted objects.

Does anybody know where to get a recent release of OFF?  Does DEC
claim any rights to this format?

[And speaking of which, does Pixar claim to own the RenderMan
_interface_?  That is, does Pixar think it is benevolently giving
free licenses to an interface that it might one day charge for?]
