Around 1982 or 1983, in a theme issue on laser disks, Byte magazine commented that JPL made a laser-disk with all the pictures to date. It commented that the data was available at selected libraries, or could be purchased for a small fee... I recently sold all of my Bytes, so I can't look up the reference...
