After taking a course in c++ last week, I would very much like to get
g++ and gcc running on my machine, which is a Silicon Graphics 4D series
machine.  If anyone could give me some advice on how to accomplish this
I would really appreciate it.  I have version 1.34.0 of both.  I would
also be interested in a commercial version if one is available.
