Thanks for the help. I have succeded in printing the Illustrator
file from a troff document. I have one more question. Where in 
the scheme of things is the best place to put the translation
and scale commands to position and size the drawing on the page?

My success has been with DEVPS. I have not tried Transcript's
psdit yet.
