Hello net people

As a part of my study, Im going to make a hardware construction thats
include a modem. For this purpose I have looked at the modem chip set
SC11004/SC11014 and the controller SC11007 from Sierra Semiconductors.
(I only need 1200 buad - And have to keep the price low)

Before I start the actual design, I would like to hear from people
thats have had any good or bad experience with this chip set.
