As a matter of interest, I thought I'd share the results
of my survey to find the best text to use for the 386.
I looked around a lot, asked around a lot, and finally
purchased "Programming the 80386", by John H. Crawford
and Patrick P. Gelsinger.  It is published by SYBEX, Inc.,
of 2021 Challenger Drive #100, Alameda, CA 94501.  The
ISBN number is 0-89588-381-3.  (For those who might say,
"that's interesting, but why put it in the Minix net??",
it's part and parcel of the project to port Minix to the
80386).
