There is a commercial product that prints greyscale pictures by using
a very old ribbon and multiple passes over each line.  Does anyone have
a PD version of the same thing?  If one wanted to write such a beast, would
the printer drivers be of use, or would you bypass them and go straight
to the printer, i.e. use PAR: instead of PRT:?
