My problem is some vendors, especially X Window types, are saying 8 Megs are required and 16 Megs are preferred. Some of us have been around long enough to remember when your machine ran out of addressing space, you cut a few traces, added a resistor and an IC, and "magic" you've increased your memory capacity. Latest example is the Macs going from 128K of RAM to 512k. Does anybody with a real smart soldering iron know how to do this on my old, but beloved DN3000. Has anybody at Apollo figured this out? The first answer is: "No the budget isn't large enough to justify upgrading 25 DN3000s to DNxxxxs including Apollo's and the third party vendors charges." Any ideas?
