You seem to assume the Apollo/HP will develop nothing beyond the 68030. We all know the 68040 is just around the corner pending some legal issues. Since Apollo has developed an excellent risc architecture in PRISM, and the rest of the industry is selling desktop risc, common sense dictates that Apollo will develope a risc desktop. I mean why would HP buy Apollo if they didn't think they could learn anything from the people in Chelmsford ? Nobody has that much idle cash. I am still laughing... I guess next year the Amiga will put all the CRAY YMPs out to pasture!!!! Get serious. Andrew Wescott University of Houston Department of Chemical Engineering
