I have been running OBBS (a ModemWorks based Shareware BBS system) on a IIe with a Smartwatch ic for over a year with no problems. It is true that ProDOS has to be patched to find the clock, but only on those disks that contain programs that need to tell time! You do have to use a different command from the built-in &TIME, but you get the same information.
