The pins on port #1 are: 1 DTR (Data Terminal Ready) 2 CRX (Carrier Detect, CD) 3 SD (Send Data) 4 RD (Receive Data) 5 GND (Signal Ground) 6 DSR (Data Set Ready) 7 RTS (Request To Send) 8 CTS (Clear To Send) Ports 2 and 3 are the same, except that they don't have 2, 7 or 8 connected.
