I think the Dollar is currently at 1.97, so it should be about $ 3250 in the US, probably less as the machine has to compete with Macs which are a lot cheaper in the US than they are here... Info from the fair later that evening: The TTs had a crash arrival in Germany. Some braindead Lufthansa workers dropped them from 2 meters to the hard ground. Most chips decided not to stay in their sockets, at least one hard disk had a head crash... Anyway, Leonard and some other guys were able to fix at least some of the machines, and we could try some software on the box that evening. It did not run on the first try since we did something unclean with memory allocation that does not work on the TT, but we fixed it during the night and the software (Smalltalk-80) should run now at the fair (I'm not there because I've got a hurting back :-( ) Anyway, I think I could like the box (except for the design, which is at least extravagant)...
