Stephen If you don't want to spend $25-$30 for a rs-adapter, you can easily do it with parts worth of few $.. Couple of transistors , resistors and diodes will do it. And if you don't want to sweat with transistors you can use inverters.. (74ls06)... just a couple of hours work, and it will work with almost any rs-interfaced machine..
