On our site we use many network interface units (NIU's) from Ungermann Bass. These units are connected on a broadband network and use TCP/IP and Telnet to communicate with various systems. One of the systems is a VAX 11/785 wich we want to replace with a VAX 6310. On the Vax 11/785 we use Exelan boards. These boards implement TCP/IP. What we like to have is a software implementation that is good enough to support approximately a 100 users. I have used the CMU/TEK implementation but the server process consumes a lot of CPU. Who has any experience with this kind of situations. -- P.J.G. van der Voort. Please Email : Internet ecn!peterV@nluug.nl Energy Research Foundation (E.C.N.) UUCP ..!hp4nl!ecn!peterV Petten.
