I have public domain source code for tftp, and have it running on an 835
(and serveral other systems).  What I have I inherited from someone 2 years
ago, and so I just went to that directory and created a shar file of the
Makefile together with .h and .c files.  I have placed it under anonymous
ftp on hplslz (15.1.208.20), as pub/tftp.shar.  I hope this helps you.
