i've heard a rumor or two that the ifconfig command accepted the broadcast
option prior to hp-ux 6.5. i received a 6.2 version that did NOT work (thanks
anyway, steve!), but i am willing to try any ifconfig command prior to 6.5.

so, if anyone has a version of the ifconfig prior to hp-ux 6.5, in binary form
that will run on an hp 9000/360, could you uuencode it, and email it to me.
this is a last ditch effort to solve a problem now, as opposed to waiting for
release 7.0.
