I don't know any of the escape sequences.  I do remember that ctrl-c will  
clear the screen, some times.   Enter on the regualr keyboard will enter on  
the main frame.  You might want to see if you can get the Asynch. Emulation  
Adapter Guide (I think that's the name).  It comes with the 3174  
controllers (Assumeing that's what you area connected trough.)
