I was told before that a NEC v30 will replace the 8086. However, a friend's PC is v30 based, and he is certain it is a square chip. I have examined my 8086 and it is certainly rectangular. Is there some specific v30 I must order? What's the part number for a rectangular v30. 2. Does any one have experience with the Olivetti Z8000 coprocessor card? What OS does it run? What software is available for it? What are the costs? -- Alexander Pruss, at one of: Department of Applied Mathematics, Astronomy, Mathematics, or Physics University of Western Ontario pruss@uwovax.uwo.ca pruss@uwovax.BITNET A5001@nve.uwo.ca
