I have a couple of .dbf files with about 2000 records each. When I tried to pack it, it would tell me something to the effect of "Unable to create pack.???" I had about 6 Megs free HD space, and the .dfb files were about 1.2 megs and 300K. I simply bought a larger hd, but I am still puzzled as to why it would need so much hd space to pack a file. Call me naive, but couldn't it be done with at most enough hd space to hold a copy of the largest .dbf file? Milan mms00786@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu .
