I'm posting this for a friend of mine who needs to get a 2400 Baud
Modem. She'd like to get one as cheap as possible.  After perusing the
standard magazines, we came up with a few names of some cheap modems.
The question is, does anyone have any experience with any of these
modems as to their reliability, Hayes compatability, etc.  The modems
are as follows:
	Practical Peripherals 2400 Baud          $179
	Intel 2400 B				 $179
	Supra Modem 2400			 $145
	SmartOne 2400 (made by Best Data)	 $145

Any comments on these, or knowledge of other 2400 Baud modems in the
same price range would be appreciated.
