     In the September Macworld, on page 243, there is a full page ad for
the Infinity Optical Disk, a product of PLI.  This unit appears to be
vaporware.  ComputerWare (California Av, Palo Alto) had an ad in their
window for this unit, but when I asked about the price, they were unable
to find it in their records.  They have since removed the ad from their
window.  Calling PLI (800-288-8754) connects to a voicemail system which
offers a number of extensions you can dial.  Trying "sales" connects to
a line which rings forever.  Trying "technical support" connects to
a music-on-hold system (one of the San Jose radio stations).  Trying
operator gets a person who asks what state and city you are calling
from, then transfers you to an extension which ring then connects
you to an answering-machine program.

     I'll believe it when I see it.
