Can someone recommend the cleanest way to do the following:  I simply want
an Edit-like interface which has an additional command in the Edit menu
(cut, paste, etc), 'execute', so that a selected portion of text will be 
read by a user-designed subroutine, and acted upon, accordingly.  Thanks.
