Sun announced a deal with NAS (National Advanced Systems), a 370-plug compatible manufacturer to port SunOS to the 370 architecture. It was in Confuserworld and other rags. NAS folded/was acquired by Hitachi, and when they semi-aligned with OSF, the project fizzled out. A friend of mine at Sun claimed to do remote compiles across the net on the 370 using `on`, so I think the work progressed pretty far. Just one person's befuddled opinions, =S
