Lines: 8 I would like to personally thank all of those who responded to my question about the meaning of the acronym SPARC. Unfortunately, I can't due to an altercation with my mailer. However, here is the summary: SPARC means Scalable Processor ARChitecture. It is a Sun machine that uses a RISC chip. RISC in turn is for Reduced Instruction Set Computer, or something along that line. A RISC chip has far fewer instructions than a normal chip.
