hi.  please give this posting a moment of thought...
flame me for wasting a few bytes of your day, if you must.

does anyone have any information about the particular ID card systems
in use in countries like South Africa or Israel's "zones"?  please
reply if you know anything about these ID card systems.  in particular,
i'm interested to know if US companies produce these systems.  are there
fully computerized systems in use anywhere?

i was once approached by a headhunter to work on such a system for 
some south american country.  any american ought to refuse this work.
but i'm interested to know who makes these systems.  thanks for your time.
